| Fishwicks operated a Charter from
Blackpool North to Lincoln Central for the
Christmas Market on December 11th, 1999. It was
intended that this was to be hauled by a class 55
"Deltic" locomotive but, due to a fault,
it was replaced by 47709 in Fragonset livery much
to the displeasure of many enthusiasts who had
travelled on the train and who turned out to see
it en-route. To add insult to injury, arrival was
on a grey, cold and very wet day ! The rather
impresive rake of carriages in GWR livery were
numbered 4963, 5040, 4927, 1863, W5009, W21272, W3140,
3098, 3112 and W3122. The following photographs
show it shortly after it arrived at Lincoln. |
