LINCOLNSHIRE ROAD CAR COMPANY

Lincoln St. Marks Bus Station and a nice variety of vehicles including (in the middle) Bristol LH 1674 (NFE 649J) which was given a special brown and cream livery in 1978 for the 50th anniversary of the LRCC.

One of three Leyland PDR1/1s with Alexander bodywork which were acquired by the LRCC from Northern General in 1980. It is seen arriving at Skegness ERichmond Drive bus station before working the 592 run to Anchor Lane.

1654 (GVL 910F) was one of the first Bristol LHs purchased by the Company in 1968 when it would have seen work on express runs to London. In its latter years it was relegated to stage-carriage work and is seen above on Beacon Way whilst operating the service 94 from Alford to Skegness via Willoughby, Burgh-le-Marsh and Mill Hill, a route withdrawn many years ago.

2355 Bristol LD5G (SFU 309) was new to the LRCC in 1959 and is seen parked in the layby opposite the Richmond Drive bus station.

Two interesting vehicles parked opposite the Richmond Drive bus station in Skegness.

2307 (67 ACH) was one of 6 Weymann bodied Leyland PDR1/2s which were acquired from Trent in 1978. A vehicle shortage saw them hastily pressed into service before repainting and, as illustrated above, still displaying its former operator's identity.

One of the Northern General PDR1/1s is seen arriving at Lincoln St.Marks bus station still wearing red livery. A Bristol LH awaits departure on route 4.

Bristol FLF 2706 (TVL 308) is seen at Skegness bus station.

A fascinating display of vehicles at Lincoln St. Marks bus station including a Bristol RE, Bristol LH and a Duple-bodied Bedford coach.

Two Bristol REs at Skegness depot. The vehicle on the left in National Express livery and on the right, a bus-seated variety wears standard green livery.
