After many years of vehicles with Eastern Coach Works bodies, the mid

1980s saw some diversity in the fleet. Leyland Leopard 1440 (SJA 363J)

was the first Alexander AY bodied vehicle in the fleet to be acquired and is

seen at the compound in Hull on March 23rd, 1985, after working route

850 from Grimsby via the Humber Bridge. 1440 was subsequently

converted to a towing vehicle !
