1976, the last day the 57A operated. That year also saw the closure of the

Drummond Road bus station and the withdrawal of 2242 which enjoyed a

varied career. After leaving the LRCC it went to North (Dealer) Sherburn,

then to the James Paper Sack Company in Nuneaton and in 1978 was with

the Zodiac Jazz Band of Hythe !
