The Bristol VR never enjoyed the popularity in Scotland as it did south of

the Border. Indeed, many ended up being exiled back to England in

exchange for Lodekkas. 1985 (NAG 592G) was one such example and was

new to Western SMT in 1969 and was acquired by the LRCC after less

than four years of service. They were instantly recognised by their very

distinctive Scottish-style triangular destination arrangement. It is seen here

in 1981 at the rear of the Skegness Richmond Drive bus station.
