| The Bristol VR never enjoyed the popularity
in Scotland as it did south of the Border. Indeed, many ended up being exiled back to England in exchange for Lodekkas. 1985 (NAG 592G) was one such example and was new to Western SMT in 1969 and was acquired by the LRCC after less than four years of service. They were instantly recognised by their very distinctive Scottish-style triangular destination arrangement. It is seen here in 1981 at the rear of the Skegness Richmond Drive bus station. |
