A class 31 in Railfreight livery stands in the sidings near Grantham station at the head of an engineering train.
31465 in Regional Railway livery can be seen amongst a variety oflocomotives at Peterborough in 1997.
Double headed class 37's haul a long train of empty tankers through Lincoln Central bound for the Immingham area.

Remindin us of a lost era, 47334 in BR blue heads north through Spalding on the GN & GE Joint line hauling "fly ash" empties in 1980.
47234 stands at Nottingham station on the at the head of a Royal Mail train, a working which ceased in the early 1990's.

Freight services were restored to Boston Docks a few years ago. 60026, having reversed off the Port of Boston siding nearest the camera, now proceeds along the main line with a train load of steel bound for the Round Oak Terminal at Birmingham. An administrative error which did not allow it to proceed as it was too heavy to cross Grand Sluice railway bridge - it doesn't actually cross this bridge but the error was realised too late and trying to find a suitable path meant it departed over three hours late !
The Rectory Sidings to Lindsey freight is the only one currently diagrammed to work over the Nottingham to Grantyham route. At the latter terminus it has to reverse, resulting in the loco changing ends, before proceeding up the East Coast Main Line to Newark and thence through Lincoln. 60029 is illustrated on this working.
60058 heads north through Peterborough on December 2nd, 2000.
On June 19th, 1999, 66023 became the first ever class 66 to reach Skegness at the head of a ballast train.
GBRf 66705 passes south through Doncaster on October 20th, 2001.
Also at Doncaster, this time on November 17th 22001 Freightliner 66522 heads north.
