This group is devoted to the largest transport operator in North East Lincolnshire: Stagecoach Grimsby Cleethorpes. From its routes as Grimsby & Immingham Tramways, along with Grimsby Corporation Tramways and Cleethorpes Corporation Tramways, came Grimsby-Cleethorpes Transport, who acquired local coach operator Peter Sheffield Coaches in 1988. By 1993 the Council had sold the entire company "GCT" to Stagecoach, who floated on the stock exchange as Stagecoach Holdings plc the following year.
